GMCS
NIRC is committed to provide GMCS batches to all the students who qualified their final exams. It is seen that the students are eligible for doing GMCS classes as soon as they registered for the final course. However, it is tendency among the students to register themselves for GMCS course after giving their final exams or qualifying the course. This tendency puts a lot of pressure on the existing resources of NIRC as it has been seen that the batches immediately after exam/result are overcrowded, on the contrary during the other period even the limit of 50 is not fulfilled.
Despite the above, NIRC is fully committed to provide GMCS batches to each and every student desiring the same and your NIRC has organised more than two batches at a time. We got a record of running nearly eight batches of GMCS at a time. The students normally prefer the batch at Vishwas nagar and Shah Auditorium, but I may point out that the faculty is common / same for all the GMCS batches organized at various locations.
I feel proud to mention that GMCS of NIRC of ICAI is regarded as one of the best Regional Council of all over India. The students are not only coming to Delhi from Northern India but also from other states of India. I am thankful to the faculties who have made this thing to happen. I am also thankful to the officers/staff of NIRC who had devoted their day & night to provide all the facilities to GMCS students.
In this endeavor, hopefully I met the expectations of the young and aspiring Chartered Accountants. From 23rd February, 2012 to till date NIRC has imparted 4,248 Students and presently there is no pendency or queue in GMCS registration.
GMCS-1
The ICAI has introduced a new training programme namely GMCS-1. This training is meant for the students whoever registered for article-ship training on or after the 1st May, 2012. They have to complete their GMCS-1 with in 12 months of joining the article-ship training.
In order to meet the expectations of the students of GMCS-1 NIRC, has started GMCS-1 batches from 26th November 2012 at ICAI Bhawan, Vishwas nagar. This attempt was aimed at to provide a quality of GMCS-1 training in the lines of old GMCS. From 26th November, 2012 to till date NIRC has imparted the GMCS-1 course training to nearly 367 students in 7 Batches.
Orientation Course (Orientation Programme for IPCC Students, before Joining articleship Training)
With the introduction of Direct Entry scheme and its deadline for the students to complete their Orientation course by 31st March, 2013 so that they can become eligible for their next attempt. In order to meet the expectations of students desiring to complete their orientation course NIRC has put all its resources together and I am happy to announce with in a period of 30 days, NIRC is able to impart Orientation Course nearly 750 students. From 23rd February, 2012 to till date NIRC has imparted the Orientation course training to nearly 6863 students.
Infrastructure
NIRC is organizing classes for CPT, IPCC & final students. In addition to batches of Orientation, GMCS-1 & GMCS are also organized. In order to meet the demands of all the students for various facilities new venues were searched and we have made an arrangements for venue at Sehani Hall at Seelampur metro station, venue at Pitampura near City Park Hotel, in addition to existing venue at Shah Auditorium & ICAI Bhawan Vishwas Nagar. Also a floor at AIMO center at Vishwas Nagar behind ICAI Bhawan was also selected for various student activities.
CA Day Celebration 2012
It was a memorable event for NIRC as NIRC celebrated CA day on 30th June, 2012. A grand programme was organized at Talkatora Indoor Stadium. The occasion was graced by the then President, ICAI CA. Jaydeep N. Shah and the then Vice-President, ICAI CA. Subodh Kumar Agrawal. A guest entry was made by the film actor Sh. Manoj Tiwari.
The event was a gala event which was attended by more than two thousand Chartered Accountants and their families. The hall of Talkatora indoor stadium was jam-packed to its full capacity. The event was named as CA Parivaar Prastuti 2012. The participants were none other then the Chartered Accountants & their families and CA students. The Hon’ble President, ICAI while speaking on the occasion congratulated the Chartered Accountants and their families and the CA Students for their spectacular performance at the event.
Library cum Reading Room
It was my utmost desire to start new libraries cum reading room for the students. I have observed that there are nearly one lakhs students in and around Delhi. However, there are only three libraries i.e. one at ICAI Bhawan Vishwas Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Kanhiya Nagar. I strongly feel that the more facilities should have been provided to the needy students. However, it is my promise to the students that I will fight for the same either in the capacity of Past Chairman or in any other capacity which my members wish me to assume and will augment the resources for the students. I request you that if you are aware of any other space or you are having space for libraries etc. for the students, please let us know so that we can start these activities at those untouched places also.
